Colt Large Frame Lightning 40-60-260 Rifle, Rare

What a fantastic estate find!
Low earlier serial number.
Gun is much nicer than photos show.
Tough to find large frame pump rifle.
Colt manufactured approximately 6,496 of these large frame rifles from 1887 to 1894.
This one is an early manufactured piece, marked 390
Easily making it by far the most scarce of the Colt Lightning rifles.
Has bladed front sight and adjustable rear sight.
28 inch round barrel.
Bore is in good condition with some pitting from black powder.
Has original bluing that is thinning.
Retains vibrant Rampant Colt stamping.
Only issue we see is cracked forearm as shown.
