Boehm Porcelain Bridled Tit Bird Figure, 200-24
Very sought after Pennsylvania impressionist artist Edward Willis Redfield signed oil on canvas spring / summer scene. Redfield likely has been honored with more awards for his paintings than any other American artist. Only the great John Singer Sargent may have won more awards, according to Hollis Taggart Galleries as noted on askart.com.
This piece gives the winning bidder an opportunity to own a work done by Redfield. As you may know, Redfield's works have sold at auction well into six-figures.
One of two of his works we offer for your consideration in this sale, they are a matching/similar pair showing Spring and Fall. This scene is possibly painted in Pennsylvania or on his trips to Maine. The oil painting shows his ability for capturing the outdoors in raw plein-air form. This wooded pond scene shows wonderfully and is ready to grace your home or the walls of the finest gallery or museum.
Signed Lower Right E.W. Redfield, as shown.
Get this piece and the similar Autumn scene also presented in this sale; ideally they can remain together with the proud new owner.
